Deutsche Bahn acquires majority stake in Clevershuttle

Titel: Liqid

The majority of the Clevershuttle ridepooling service is taken over by Deutsche Bahn, which is thus further expanding its position in the highly competitive ridepooling market. Deutsche Bahn increased its stake in the start-up to almost 79 percent and Clevershuttle’s CEO Bruno Ginnuth and his two co-founders will remain on board. How much money Deutsche Bahn invested is unknown.

Clevershuttle offers artificial intelligence-based driving services that determine the fastest routes for passengers. Every month, around 70,000 people throughout Germany use the ridepooling service, which is designed to grow with the fresh capital of Deutsche Bahn and consolidate its position on the German market.
